What is "advertising on hold"?
Advertising on hold... Music on hold... Messages on hold... On hold marketing... These are just a few terms that all refer to one thing: an entertaining and informative audio production that your callers listen to while they wait on hold. An advertising on hold program accomplishes two goals at once; it relaxes and soothes your callers while they wait on hold, and introduces them to products and services you offer, enticing them to ask for more information when you return to them.
The message on hold programs we produce usually contain several paragraphs. Each paragraph talks about a different topic, with music between each paragraph. The recording is usually about 6 minutes in length, and covers about 8 topics.
Because the recording repeats each 6 minutes, your caller will drop in and out of the recording at random points, just like tuning into a radio station.
The idea is to let your caller know more about what you provide, and get them to ask for more information. Messages on hold are very effective in helping you get the message to your callers.
